This is a great piece of writing (much less dense than Epic often can be), and the message is compelling. Churchill is Director of User Experience at Google - basically the home of 'big data' - so it's fascinating to get an insight into how they are using data as a jumping-off point for further ethnographic exploration ('ethnomining').
